I happened to be revisiting this one, and looked up other Camus quotes. He seems to have some good ones alright:
βShould I kill myself, or have a cup of coffee?β
βLive to the point of tears.β
βBut in the end one needs more courage to live than to kill himself.β
A cheerful fella π Yet his essence resonates with me. Thank you for bringing him to me!
I don’t know the first two of those quotes but they seem in line w/ the few things I’ve read of his to date. His writing is actually quite hopeful in a strange way –
I agree. What I’ve read so far feels authentic, astute, and raw – and in these ways hopeful. Contemplations of life and death don’t win popularity points in light conversations, but on a deeper level, I think they tend to fuel–and be fueled by–hope.

Thank you… so glad to hear that. It’s such a beautiful thought. I’m glad you found the overall effect warming. π
